Does Gray Spectrum provide copy (text) for my web site and internet advertising or must I provide it?
Gray Spectrum offers copywriting services. Directly related to the optimal success of search engine results, effective, keyword-rich copywriting is an art in and of itself. We will happily work with any copy provided to us, and we often recommend that we ultimately manage the responsibility of our client's copywriting efforts. This ensures a consistent voice and message across the brand and primes a site for future search engine optimization efforts.
How much does imagery cost and how much is needed?
Every project is unique and the imagery requirements change according to the strategy devised for each project. Some clients prefer their own proprietary imagery produced from a photo shoot, while others are content using royalty-free imagery.
What are royalty-free images?
Royalty-free images are images available for commercial use. There is a wide selection of high-quality images available. The drawback to using royalty-free images is that they are not reserved for exlusive use, so there is the risk that another company is using the same imagery. Additionally, most royalty-free images come with terms limiting use beyond a certain scope. In many cases, the photographer is willing to sell exclusive rights, however it often ends up being a better value to have proprietary photography produced that can be used without restriction. Whatever the case, we work with our clients to find the appropriate solution for their needs.
How long do web sites take to build?
Every web site and every situation is unique. In most cases, a web site will take anywhere from a few weeks up to a few months depending on its complexity. A timeline will be devised and issued outlining key dates and expectations at the onset of the project.
Do you design logos, stationery or other printed materials?
Yes, Gray Spectrum designs logos, stationery and other printed materials, which are billed at our standard, hourly graphic design rate.
What kind of payment is required to get started?
Web site payments are most commonly broken into thirds, the first due upon signing the agreement, the second due upon approval of the site's design theme, and the third payment due once the web site has been approved at the final design stage. Check, Visa, Mastercard and PayPal are accepted forms of payment. In some cases, Gray Spectrum will arrange a more affordable, monthly-payment agreement that extends the cost over a period of time greater than what is needed to perform the services. Invoice terms are net 30 days same as cash.
